Due to my interest in conservation and marine life in general along with a longing to get out there and gets some hands on experience, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to go to Marion Island on the 70th Overwintering Expedition team through the Fitz. Working so closely with various albatross and petrels has also inspired a new and great appreciation for birds, but especially the seabirds breeding on Marion, in particular the Grey-headed albatross which is my current area of interest.

Thesis title
