We often think wildlife crime doesn’t exist in Europe or outside of developing countries but this research analysing satellite tracking data from hen harriers identified widespread illegal killing of this species in areas managed for driven grouse hunting in Britain. This is a major wildlife crime which until now has been largely dismissed or denied by pro-hunting groups.
