WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

There is a less than 1% chance of transmitting HIV via breastfeeding while on ARVs.

Formula feeding is another feeding option. Although formula feeding will eliminate the risk of transmitting HIV via feeding, it also places the baby at risk of developing other serious life threatening infections.

Feeding infants pre-chewed food (food which you have partially chewed in your mouth) is not recommended.

Tue, 2018-05-22 12:32 -- 01418635

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Common symptoms of pregnancy are similar to symptoms associated to diabetes. When you are pregnant you may not realise that you have diabetes. You can be tested for diabetes at your clinic.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Your clinic might treat you with medicine called insulin. Insulin treatment can be administered either in the form of an injection or a pill. You can control your blood sugar levels by eating healthy food and taking your medication.
